Sekanjabin is one of the oldest drinks of Persia: a sweet-and-sour syrup of sugar, grape vinegar and fresh mint, simmered until thick and fragrant. ShopCore Select sekanjabin is made in Iran to the traditional recipe and bottled in a 600 ml glass bottle.
In Pakistan the word sikanjabeen usually means lemon water, and this is the Persian original the name comes from. Mix two to three tablespoons with iced water and grated cucumber for a cooling sharbat at iftar or on a hot afternoon. Iranians also serve it neat as a dip for crisp lettuce leaves, a summer snack called kahoo sekanjabin.
